About Mensah Global Health

Mensah Global Health Initiative was established in 2019 in memory of my late mother Vida Darko Mensah and is a subsidiary of the Vida Darko Mensah Foundation inc a 501(c)3 organization. The purpose of this organization is to provide free medical care, medicine, equipment, and medical education to underserved communities in Ghana W. Africa such as Anomabo. We believe through local partnerships and longitudinal relationships with a community we can improve health outcomes as well as empower the communities we serve.

About Dr. Mensah

Dr. Doreen Mensah is the founder and CEO of Mensah Global Health a subsidiary of the Vida Darko Mensah Foundation(501c3). Her organization was established in 2019, providing free medical care, medication, equipment and education to underserved communities such as Anomabo Ghana West Africa. In March 2023 her team provided free medical care for 2252 people in Anomabo. In 2024 her team plans to roll out three initiatives which include medical outreach to Anomabo Central region Ghana, Akim Oda in Eastern region and medical care to Women and Children Center in  the greater Accra catering to impoverished families

A native of Ghana, Dr. Mensah attended Harvard Medical School and trained at Massachusetts General Hospital in Internal Medicine. She is an assistant professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai for twenty years, where she has been teaching and training medical students and residents.

Her goal is simple: to live a life of purpose and positively impact the lives of the communities she serves.
